I think they'll be happy with the pitch, but other than that, it might be a bit of a culture shock"

Shouldn't be really... they were at Crewe recently and have played small clubs in the cups so many times before.

And Burton Albion in last years FA Cup on their pitch that resembled Southend Beach on a bad day and with dressing room conditons and facilities that make ours look like the Milstad...

Most of the first team did not travel for the Crewe game as has been mentioned before!

When their last five away games have been Reebok, Parken, JJB, Estádo Do Luz, Madejski Stadiums while also playing at Old Trafford at least every other week during that period I think to say Roots Hall will be a culture shock for Rooney, Ronaldo and Ferdinand is pretty much nail on the head! Will have been a while since Ronaldo ran down the wing with the fans that close to him! (East Stand definitely!)

I doubt that seeing as the Pirelli Stadium is a new ground.
Fair enough the pitch was dodgy but I bet the dressing rooms were a lot more palatial than RH!

Yeah, but the pitch did look a bit tyred though...

Yehh because Manchester is such as nice place!!

Indeed my mate who now plays for Northampton once said to me that whilst playing for Oldham - RH changing rooms were the worst he had ever been in!

Having used these changing rooms for ShrimperZone FC in the Roots Hall tourney a few years ago, I can assure you that they are indeed shocking, certainly our home changing room at Garons is 100 times better.

But then thats the way it should be - why make life comfortable for the visitors!

I'm not surprised. Teams like Oldham should be steamrollering teams like Southend. And if that is the case... imagine what would happen if a team like Man Utd were to play us.
