Question Wee Steevie McTilson to Celtic ?

CC51DAS

President
Surprised that this has not been put up here yet given our Steve' s track record and Scottish ancestry.

Has this got legs (and hairy knees) ?

Lambert to Celtic (6/1 with the bookies) and Tilly to Norwich would be less of a joke!!
Yep i make you right, Tilly was offered Norwich before Gunn, he turned it down out of loyalty, after the way he has been treated by 'some' i would expect him to take it this time round, who would bame him? Only one Stevie Tillson. UTB.

Yes, you are probably right there!

I do wonder how much onlookers will recognise the difficulty Tilson has had in terms of resources or whether they will just look at Southend's league position and see him as damaged goods.

The difficulties that Tilly has had to suffer are not exactly a secret and our league position is a direct result of these problems.Very little blame can be pointed at Steve IMHO.

Here we go again for the hundreth time, Tilly to ....................................

See the same again next month, but different supposed destination.

It's been going on for about 3 years now, and there's always a reason why it's got legs.

Not so wide of the mark this time round, with Webb already in position at Southend till the end of the season, he could easely take over the rains from Tilly.

Norwich are a 'big' club with 'big' support. Could Tilly handle 'bigger' players with 'big' egos, would they respect him? I'm not so sure, but I'd like to see him try, he deserves it.
What influence has Brush had? Must admit the all out energy, tactics, team changes and substitutions the other night was not the 'norm'. Tilly with the shackles off or the Webb influence?

If Tilly goes to Celtic he can qualify as a token Jock. Maybe then he will be able to get somewhere with his England manager application.

Stand up Sir Steve.

Hasnt this been covered in the Peterborough thread?

Can't we have just one 'Tilson to.........' thread and just update it when a situation becomes vacant?

Well I'm sure we could but this one isn't altogether serious - I personally have never seen McTilly in a kilt although I am reliably informed that he has sung a couple of verses of Auld Lang's Syne on New Year's Eve :)

I gather his singing is pretty good too, remember the Colchester song after we got promoted ?

As this is happening every month, can't we have no more 'Tilly to ..........threads'.
Maybe after so many people on here have linked him to so many clubs, they are desperate to be the first to get it right, and clutch at straws.
Sad thing is, this could go on for years.
