Wednesday freddy and Ron

Tommy2holes

Life President⭐
Just thought i would share what i have heard from someone at the club that i know. I wont be drawn into names, but i goes as follows.

Freddy bid had been received although unofficially from what i can make out. Anyway it was rebuffed by Ron and subsequently the club were told as all others have been the freddy is not for sale. Latest Bid biggest yet, again no figures to give.

Ron has asked everybody at the club to be at the council on wednesday (not sure about thursdays) as a show of support. By everybody i mean everybody all of the players and staff right down to the tea lady. Ticket office/club shop etc may be closed for a bit.

Thirdly when asked about the new ground and concerns about the planning ron seemed calm and almost expectant that the ground was going to go through. He really beleives that i will go ahead whol heartedly.

On the last point , i was told that Ron seemed so sure that it was almost like he knew( maybe insider info?) I hope to god he is right , because we can never compete in this league at roots hall although it will be sorely missed, the new ground is the way forward.

(ps) Maisie shrimper. Before you get out of your pram i have had this from a friend of mine who happens to be spot on 99% of the time.

From yesterday's announcements i'm presuming that there will be a fair few Shrimpers Fans there as well on Wed's.

I'm going to try and get along if i can get out of work at some reasonably early time....even if i have to go back!

Well Im ignoring the Freddy rumour for now, sorry but too many "friends" have advised too much nonsense! Will wait for official news or a wrongun update on that score...

Not sure about Rons confidence on Fossetts, if it was a done deal as some have claimed then why all this effort to get people there etc ? From the announcement it sounded very much in the balance. Personally dont see it being agreed Wednesday and it will take a few re-submissions to get through.

I can't really take time off work, but hope to go on Thursday.
From what I remember the Council place in Rayleigh only holds about 7 people so it may be a little cosy ;)

Your right. Rochford council planning meeting room has approx 35 chairs and very little standing room. I was last in there about 5 weeks ago and even with the microphones and speakers on it was very hard to hear anything. For those who are not too familiar with Rayleigh Council offices, it is at the top of the high street opposite the church. It has a car park right next door and it is FREE to park after 7o/c

like Tinkerbell i was there 5 weeks ago and there is certainly limited seating especially if we are not first on the agenda like last time as the hall was packed wih locals fighting another development in the town

One thing that sticks in mind from that meeting one council member a lady
was very critical of her fellow counsellers that the Southend had invited them all to the Fossets Farm to see what the Club had wanted to do and only 5/6
even bothered to turn

So if you cant get to Southend if you are working then Come on Down to
Rayleigh lets have a lot of cars in the car park with the flags flying
