SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher is certain he will get the Shrimpers firing again this season.
Maher’s side head to Solihull Moors tomorrow sitting 17th in the National League standings after suffering two defeats in succession.
But Maher is adamant Blues will soon be back on track.
“You look at our squad right now and it’s short but we will get it right and I’ll get it right,” said Maher.
“With the staff here we will get it right as we’ve shown before too.
“We’ll look to get in the bodies we need to and we’ll get some of the injuries back too.
“We’ll get results again.”
The Shrimpers have been hit hard by injuries and player departures throughout an indifferent start to the season.
And Maher admits having to make so many changes has been proving problematic.
“People won’t want to hear it because it’s a results based business but it’s a fact,” said the Blues boss.
“We lost six players within a week and of course it affects us.
“I also saw a stat which says we’ve made the least subs in the league and that tells another story.
“I’m not looking to make excuses, they’re facts.”
