We must be beat Swansea!

glensufc

Youth Team
Bristol City are on fire and can still make the play offs. I can't see us beating a Gary Johnson side that's full of confidence. Why oh why are Southend so rubbish at reaching the finish line. Didn't the players learn anything from last season? So frustrating. If we throw this league title away I will be devastated, especially if it's to Col******r. I'm still scarred by Cambridge pinching the league title on the last day all them years ago.

Sorry to be negative but I'm well pi$$ed off that we've made it so difficult for ourselves.

It would appear that I'm so pi$$ed off that I stuttered when writing the title of this thread

I think the original poster is worried about us not winning the league. Would we all be happy with 2nd place?

Seeing we have been top all this time, i would be very very disappointed if we didnt finish as champions. As mentioned on OS, i believe we have only won one piece of silverware all our history (excluding playoffs) and we are in the best position possible to finish top

I think the away factor will help at Swansea. A crowd of travelling fans who will get behind their team will be infinitely more helpful than the mutes and boo boys who make up most of our "sellout" home crowds.

Trouble is at a place like Swansea their fans will respond to any noise we make and 2,000 away fans might not sound that loud.

Losing the league title to Col******r on the last day of the season is not an option. Surely the players realise that, surely they want to be winners and champions. Now is the time for them to prove it. They must believe they are champions and play like it at Swansea. That should be motivational enough. Freddy has a point to prove as well, after Trundle grabbed all the headlines at Roots Hall.

It's time for another Freddy hat trick

If we don't win the title after having been 8 points ahead with 5 games to go then I'll be very disappointed - can you imagine the bleating from that 'col u' idiot if they beat us to the title?

Please belive me - I would be estatic with 2nd place.
Don't really give a sh*t about the title, Col U have never played in the second leval before so after 70 years even one season going to decent grounds would be great.

I think we can win it, i also know we could draw v Rotherham & lose at Yeovil.

This season has come a year to early for us as it would be better to go up next season to coincide with moving to the new ground.

And every other week you'll have a reminder of what it's like going back to crap tin-pot grounds.
