WE ARE STAYING UP!

we have 26 games left, so nothing is over just yet. if we can get a few home wins and the odd point away i feel we should be just about ok.

i hope it will all start tomorrow with a convincing performance (they owe us one) and three points

in fairness our home form has been pretty good, except the first half of the plymougth game and hull. they were pathetic but other that we havn't done too bad.

i am most probably going to get some sort of comment from xabia shrimper but never mind always do!

come on blues i want pride and passion!!!!! and 3 points. lol

im with you... get a result tomorrow and i think we will follow it up next sat... just need to start a run

for god sake.. matty, i read your posts with frustration all the time.. why can you only see positives? have you no negative in you man?

get real

If Roots Hall gets behind the team and we actually get a break or two - there are three points to be had here and another three next Saturday -

we are staying up - how good does that feel -

i can be negative sometimes
i admire it.. but jeez, how can you see a way out of this?

If we dont win tomorrow then i think we've had it. Wolves away form is poor, last 6 have seen them draw 1 and lose 5. No doubt someone will say they are due for a win but there-again we hav'nt won at home in the league for 8 games, so are we.

We WILL win tomorrow.

I'm so confident I will be placing a bet at the bookies beforehand, for the first time since last season!.

Have faith, the turnaround starts tomorrow!

Good on you!!

CS J, dont bring everyone else down with you, some of us are trying to stay positive to help support the players!! Just think of the WBA team a few years back, how the hell did they stay up!!!

not trying to bring people down... but where is optimism coming from? where can you see us turning it around? and why?

lol ive put a bet on every game this season and lost. lol.

the one bet i would hae won was a win against man u but forogt to put it on. lol.

i do agree though things arent looking good but its not impossble just yet. i just hope we can a few decent results and go from there

i think we need to give hooper more of a chance and make subs earlier. i think when we tend to put subs on at like 60th min they change the game for the better. but when we leave it until 88th min we usually lose.

just a thought

Just going to add a bit or reality in this thread. Cs J has a point. We are bottom and 9 points from safty. After doing some research the last few seasons in this league the teams with 50 points would stay up(not below 50!). And that would mean 13 wins in 26. We have won 2 in 20 so far, so unless we play like play-off contenders for the rest of the season we will not stay up. But because i say that doesn't mean i wont support the team, because like i have every game this season i will get behind the team if they show passion and the will to win.

Get behind the boys on Saturday, but please dont get your expectations any higher then they are aready, i fear disapointment could be around the corner.

All the best

i think your right with regards to getting behind our team, i think everyone can agree that when the fans are in gd spirit and voice they seem to play really well and as they plead in the programme they need us to act as a 12th man.

plus it makes the game more enjoyable

I admire your optimism. If only football was so simple.

Or, another way of looking at it would be to say that we need 38 points from a possible 78.

That's 9 wins, 11 draws and 6 defeats.

Unlikely, but not impossible.

For some reason I do not have the same feeling of doom and gloom that I've had in previous relegation seasons. This is possibly because I don't think it would be particularly disastrous if we did get relegated, but then again I think we've showed enough in most games to show we are capable of winning if we stop leaking silly goals.

When we last fell out of this league, we were being taken apart by teams. This time we aren't. Individual errors are costing goals. Just as there is no identifiable reason why these errors start being made, they will stop in the same manner.

We will then start winning games instead of drawing, and drawing instead of losing.

Admittedly, we aren't good enough to make a real impact on the league, but I do think that we can be better than 3 other teams.

Plus, I think we will sell Freddy and strengthen the team in other areas.

That's the source of my optimism, anyway.

Er, but didn't you say that before the Barnsley game as well?

I think that if we are within touching distance of safety come january then the club will have a big descision to make. Do we sell freddy and invest in the squad? Or do we keep freddy and spend very little? Personally i can see us selling freddy and spending nothing, after all we hardly showed any ambition in the loans transfer window. How is it that barnsley signed 4 really decent players and we only signed a player with 30 minutes league experience. I am all for giving riera a go , but dont expect him to be top drawer. I have a feeling he will be total ****.
