C C Csiders

Life President
Taking my children to school this morning, and having dropped my daughter at the junior school, I was walking my son to the infants when a mum was walking towards me wearing a Col Ewe jacket. As she walked next to me I said "f***ing scum".

Now following Teeside Shrimpers post about abuse to Ricketts and Hughes I am having doubts as to the efficacy of what I said.

Can I seek absolution from SZ members for my 'sin'?

The devils comes in many forms CCCsiders....

The other day I spotted a tramp in an Orient hat and after he asked me for money I said "**** off tramp" where as normally I would have polietly said No.

I think next time you should chin her and run off shouting "Southend Agro"....

I said exactly the same thing when walking past a teenage girl in an Ipswich shirt in Chelmsford last week. I don't care either way about Ipswich but my brother is a Norwich City fan so I can only assume his spirit took me over for a brief second. Not that he's dead or antything.

I didn't know you knew Jonny Stokes that well ..;) :p

Bang out of order, did she hear you?

The 'school gates' can be a torrid time if you cross the Mums, you may have not done your kids any favours either.

Also a context issue, a local derby is one thing, the school gates another, and terrorists are scum, not Col Ewe fans, although they are not my favourite persons.

As you know one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter. Similarly one mans scum is another mans Col Ewe fan.

And on the mums, we hate them all anyway.

The only thing I think you really did wrong was not to kick her in the flange as you said it.

I guess this could get heated, but if she did hear, you could get called before the headmaster/mistress, have the husband waiting for you when you return and when asked why you called a fellow parent scum you reply because she supports Colchester. Not sure that works for me,not sure it is good for your kids reputation, but not convinced you can call people scum in the street and hope to get away with it.

If someone had called your Mrs scum today(because she is a Shrimper)would you let it go?

S'a bit OTT, CCC. Lets face it, you wouldn't have done it if it wasn't a woman with kids - if it was some 6ft bloke in a Col Ewe top you wouldn't have bothered, in case of aggro. Either way, it's still the kind of thing that's likely to come back and bite you on the 'arris.

No! I do it in Sainsbury's as well to male Col Ewe fans - it's fair game. If they want to walk around in what is the football shirt equivalent of the asylum straight-jacket tehn they should be prepared for some feedback.

It's a wind up right?

If not, let's ask another question. Last Thursday we had a pretty good booze up in the City, about 16 of us. If someone had been standing next to us in a Col Ewe jacket, let's say a woman, are you taking the same approach?

I know we were on neutral ground in the City, but then again are'nt you in Chelmsford which is not exactly deepest South East Essex?
