Actually it doesn't say from when exactly, so IF the game goes to extra time/pens people might, in all seriousness, have to bear it in mind. Knowing how they love to collect the revenue from these things it could well kick in just after midnight tomorrow night!

Was just going to say the very same thing.....although coming from a Mod it does have more of a sense of authority about it!!

If there's a lot of visitors around though they won't expect the speed limit to have changed while they've been at the football will they? That was what I was getting at.

But thats the point in this case, the Speed limits will drop by 20 MPH at the time the camera's are activated . It is likely that Thursday will be the introduction of the new 50 MPH limit from the borogh boundry to the Dick Turpin

Sorry Kay, didn't mean to sound like I was getting at you there. Twas good advice - I normally turn off the A127 just after the Dick Turpin, but it's good to know all the same.

I have just reread the article. The speed limit and the cameras enforcing it come into effect from Thursday. That'll be Midnight then, Expect to see workmen uncovering all the signs during Wednesday evening

Exactly! So all those hopefully disgruntled Chelsea supporters and our ecstatic Southend supporters travelling along it will all be slapped in the face with a fine and points due to the sudden change.
