Cynical? yes because you have no evidence to substantiate your fears and are looking at it negatively. Warranted cynicism? Well nothing surprises us anymore with our club but hopefully you will be proved wrong. Always look on the bright side......

The problem with statements like this are that we have no idea who PB is trying to sign, how far down the line they are with potential targets, they may be on holiday, waiting until 1st July when many contracts run out etc.

Id love us to have signed 5 or 6 new players already, but im not surprised that we havnt and certainly wont worry too much about it.

In terms of league two we have good support for league two. We have also unloaded a few higher earners , so i guess we should be looking to sign players other lesser supported teams can't.

Of course new players will be signed, as currently we have a squad of about 15 players. In no way has any indication been given as too the wages of new players. Id be far more concerned if PB said we arent signing anyone !

And talking to the press, again, every single Football League Club are saying the same thing to their local press, what do you expect, the first day of the season the Echo introducing us to all the new players for the 1st time.

So explain what you are asking in your thread ! You started the thread ! Also, I don't hide under my quilt, I'm as realistic as they come , I'm just wondering what your own thread was supposed to ascertain ?

We have an strong side for once, not in transfer embargo like in last two season & we only need fews players to complete our jigsaw (couple of pacy players would be great) then we be up and running.

I would rather Phil told us once the player had actually signed the deal!,After all the club could say they are after several players whilst putting in derisory bids or offering wages which the player will clearly refuse.

Most clubs seem to break their transfer news once the deal has been done.
