Voting Behaviour Questionnaire

Grayson

Life President⭐🦐
Hi everyone, next week I'm starting a Government & Politics A-Level and, as preparation, have been asked to find out the voting behaviour of 10 people. It would be very much appreciated if some of you kind SZ'ers could assist me in obtaining the information by answering my questionnaire. I understand people may not like disclosing such information, but if you're willing to do so please PM me your answers.

Thank you very much in advance to anybody who can help.

Lew

The questions:

1) How did you vote in the last General Election?
2) Have you always voted for that party?
3) Which three events/factors shape your political views the most?
4) How did your parents vote?
5) What are your views on the European Union?
6) Asylum seekers: Let them in or send them back?

Thanks again :)

2) No but the closest I am going to get
3) Immigration / Care for Elders / Get out of Europe
4) UKIP because I told them too
5) **** Europe the Swiss have the right Idea!
6) Give them a kicking first.... then send them back.

Thanks for your time!

1. Labour

2. No but only once have I not voted for them.

3. Thatcher's Britain / creation of the NHS / a shrewd idea of what party are gonna screw over the British public the least and the most.

4. Conservative / Liberal.

5. Anything that strengthens the economic and social well-being of our country has to be a good thing.

6. We must be a compassionate society and encourage those who suffer genuine persecution, suffering and repression to take refuge in and intergrate into our society.

we don't need these people we have not got the infrastructure as it is!!!

1) Labour
2) Yes
3) Oppression of minorities (including the working class) , the me / what can I get for myself - anti society attitude made popular by Thatch, tax the rich
I don't know and since my Dad and I brieflyfell out when he betrayed his working class background by falling for Mrs T's bull***t in 1979 I don't think he would tell me if I asked.
4) If the EU can build societies and intigrate nations then I suppose its a good thing, We will need all the contacts we can get when the North sea Oil runs out and i don't want to rely on the USA as it damn near bankrupted us last time we fell on hard times and asked them to help.
5) Asylum seekers are not the problem, its those who are refused asylum or those whose leave to remain has expired who are the issue , there is not being done to ensure those who have not been granted asylum actually leave the country. As long as there are humanitarian grounds for immigrants then we should be accepting them, as a country founded on cultures mixing (whether by immigration or invasion ) for 2000 years I think it would be hypocritical to stop now

**** em!!!!

But Abdul is unlikely to be an asylum seeker, he is likely to be a legitimate immigrant from a coomonwealth (former empire) country

This issue is about asylum seekers not immigrants.

The questions:

1) How did you vote in the last General Election? - I voted against Labour

2) Have you always voted for that party? - No

3) Which three events/factors shape your political views the most? - Incompetence or lying over the reasons behind going to war - either way the government should have fallen; the need for the legislature to hold the executive to account; general competency -or lack of.

4) How did your parents vote? - Don't know. I normally see it as my civic duty to vote in order to cancel out my mother's vote, but as my constituency was Labour v Respect and Southend is Tory v Lib Dems, it didn't really matter this time.

5) What are your views on the European Union? - In urgent need of reform.

6) Asylum seekers: Let them in or send them back? - Let them in.

1. Labour.
2. Yes
3. Society has an obligation to help those who cannot (as opposed to will not) help themselves.
4. Conservative.
5. We would't be involved in the first place if it wasn't to our benefit.
6. Let them in. In my (limited) experience they are harder working and more enterprising than the vast majority of those who complain about their presence.

1) How did you vote in the last General Election? - Labour

2) Have you always voted for that party? - First time i could vote

3) Which three events/factors shape your political views the most? - what will benefit me the most, crime, State of the economy,
4) How did your parents vote? dunno, they never tell me
5) What are your views on the European Union? - it can be a good thing, but is badly run, and is not on an even keel. We put in far too much, and get far too little in return compared to many of the other countires. As for the European court of human rights, and its acts... they need a full overwite... or scpaping alltogether!
6) Asylum seekers: Let them in or send them back? - If they have good skills and can fill roles where we dont have enough people here to fill them, then let them stay... if they do not... send them back!

1. Conservative
2. No
3. Pensions, Health, and the faint hope we will ever get open government.
4. Labour
5. As a trading area great, as a political union no thanks.
6. We must have a sensible immigration policy.

Do you always vote against Labour? Need to know who are tribal voters you see.

In general elections? Or all elections.

I think I've voted against Labour in every general election, as in every general election I've voted in they were set for a majority large enough to railroad things through parliament. In European elections I've generally voted against UKIP/Referendum/BNP, in local elections I've probably just voted for whoever backed the new stadium the most convincingly!
