Villa

Gabby Gabby Gabby Gabby Gabby Agbonlahor,
He get's the ball,
He scores a goalllll!!!

And its nice to see a team with a strong ethic on a British backbone to the squad players like Agbonlahor, Luke Young, Heskey, Milner, Downing, Sidwell, Ashley Young and more...

Great dive by Rooney, if that was Ronaldo people would be going mental!

Yup, well said.

That's what makes me laugh about the whole Thierry Henry furore. Cheating is such a common part of the game nowadays that it's absurd to single out individual incidents for that kind of attention. Is it only cheating if it pays off? If it's in a high enough profile match? If the perpetrator isn't English? I tend to save my contempt for the players who see it as something to gloat and goad over, the likes of Ronaldo, Duguid or Thornton. Whether or not you believe Henry's contrition to be legit, it's surely harsh to lump him in that category of utter ****.

The bottom line is that as things stand the punishment doesn't even come close to outweighing the rewards. At the levels where it's financially viable and the footage is comprehensive enough, I'd like to see a "Cheating Panel" of ex-pros - people who know the game - to sit and review dives, handballs, etc. Give the offenders a one match ban for a first incident, two for a second and so on. See how far they want to wander down that road before it's just not worth it in the overwhelming majority of instances, because it's pretty damn obvious that the punishment is currently no deterrent whatsoever to the crime.

Oh, and one more thing: Viiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllllllllllllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Get in.
