Very worrying.....

Angell Delight

Life President
....one of the young dolly-bird presenters on SSN has just stated that Peter Taylor's first priority is to replace Andrew Johnson and his top target is a highly-rated young striker at a South-Eastern club.

No joke this chaps, abolsute gospel - lets hope he's talking about Izale McLeod as I really can't think of anyone else

As I said on another thread at least 2 tabloids have McLeod as Taylor's No1 target so lets not panic just yet.

Anyway, maybe it's Wayne Gray

Taylor seems to rate McLeod as he took him for that U21 game where Tilly was his assistant.

Im not worried at all. I very much doubt Freddy will leave just yet and am sure he wont be for sale this year.

Remeber Ron Martin said last week that if Portsmouth put an £1'800'000 bid for Freddy, they will be wasting their time & yet they are playing in Premiership.

Imagine what Tilly could do with £3m....

Not that I think Freddy is going anywhere. Or that we'd get that much for him. Not this summer anyway.

Of course he couldn't. But he could go out and buy half a dozen good quality players which would go some way to numbing the pain.

Nonsense! Of course players like Freddy are few and far between, but life will go on after Freddy goes - whenever he goes and we will get someone else in who will score goals.

Remember, we dont know if Freddy is going to do it at the Championship level yet!!! (I'm sure he will, but its not gauranteed).

Anyway, we wouldnt get £3m at the moment - not in one go. Maybe £1m up front at best, then the rest based on goals, appearances and sell-ons...

Personally Im looking forward to seeing him play at Championship level. Thought it took him a little while to find his feet last season after the step up from lge 2, then after Christmas he was superb.

Its going to be tougher next season, but I think if the team can do ok Freddy will do well.

As said it would be hard to replace him player for player, but it wont be the end of the world when it finally happens as hopefully we can get a few decent players to strengthen the squad as a whole.
