Well, reading Tilson on the OS today makes it pretty darn clear that that's the last we've seen of Leon Clarke:

Meanwhile, Tilson also commented on the Leon Clarke situation.

The former loanee has returned to Wednesday after his loan spell expired and Tilson is unsure of whether that situation will alter.

"The deal was done but someone has moved the goal posts and another £30,000 has come to light," he said. "I didn't think Leon did himself too many favours towards the end, especially at Doncaster.

"He didn't try and that isn't the sort of player we want to have here. You know he will score goals, but it he the right one? I don't know.

"If anything was to happen I think I would want to take him back on loan to make sure he actually wants to be at this Football Club."

Gilbert has gone back to Arsenal as well after some "in different" (as it were) performances at Roots Hall. To be honest, I'd forgotten he was still with us...

No surprise about Gilbert, although I am surprised that there has been no mention of the Scannell situation yet, especially as it's reportedly a done deal.
