Under-18s go down...to Brighton

Blues' Youths played their first competitive home match of the season at Boots & Laces this morning, and despite leading 2-1 after just 13 minutes, were soon trailing 3-2 at half-time and eventually conceeded two further goals in the final 12 minutes when pushing forwards to lose 5-2.

Luke Thurlbourne put United 1-0 up after three minutes from a Dan Harvey cross and Richard Priest found the back of the net with a stunning 30-yard strike ten minutes later, but in the end some incisive counter-attacking from Brighton told.

Full report will be available on the Shrimpers Trust website later this weekend.
