UKIP (after the election)

NF vows "not to desert the battlefield". Things set to heat up on the UKIP/Europe front from September.

It will certainly be interesting to see how UKIP copes with the intense media attention that will now inevitably be focused on Thanet, (the only local council which the party actually controls), in future.

It simple really, UKIP wants out and will campaign for the 'OUT' vote. Local councils, including South Thanet wont come in to the equation at all.

Not quite as simple as you suggest.

The Tory right will make sure that NF never gets anywhere near the leadership of the official "out" campaign.

Also, once the referendum has been held, (if not well before, if it's as late as 2017), expect a perfect media storm on how well (or not) South Thanet council is being run.

Not that you have ever been known to get it spectacularly wrong but being that Nigel Farage and his party got 29% of the vote in the last euro election - something you and *** predicted wouldn't happen - I imagine NF will be all over the "OUT" campaign. Why the F*** wouldn't he?

I never made any predictions about the Euro elections - with PR (sort of) and protest voting minor parties often do well in the Euros. I never predicted that Farage was lying about quitting as leader either or that they would end up in Parliament with just one re-branded Tory MP. I don't like them but I don't make predictions on how other people view them.

The point I believe Barna was making was that the Tory right won't want Farage to have a leading place in their 'out' campaign, not that Nigel won't be involved generally. For Nigel it is business as usual. For the Tories this is a big moment for the party as their papered over divisions will be in full view in the referendum run up. Very interested to see what impact it has on the Tory party as well as the impact on the UK

I never made any prediction as to what % of the vote UKIP would get in the Euros.I challenge you to find any post of mine where I did.

It may well be that NF "will be all over the "OUT" campaign.

My point was-as *** rightly picked up -was that the Tory right, however, would stop him from having an effective role in the "official" OUT campaign.

1. leave that with me - love a challenge
2. Bearing in mind UKIP brand themselves as the official out of europe party, then I really can't see what the tory right or anyone else for that matter can do to stop him. Who do you think the media are going to interview the most?

1.Trawl as much as you like. You won't find anything.

2.The official "out" campaign will be extremely well financed. You make a good point about media interviews though.

I concede to you. Have checked the euro election thread I did titled "lies,Damn lies etc", you were on best behaviour!
*** however did predict in one of his posts that UKIP vote would dip on the final day and also replied with "wishful thinking" to another poster who suggested UKIP would poll well.
I thank you.

On the Euros? Post up a link eh

See that "nice " NF is now taking on Uber.

"many Uber drivers can’t speak English and don’t know their way around."

Obviously you have nothing better to do but he is absolutely right. He should have also pointed out that they don't know what a one way street is , illegally pick up of the street and u turn in vehicles that can't resulting in having to reverse into the flow of traffic. As I have said before, they are a ****ing menace. Something like 2000 licenses are being issued every month and they are killing the licenced black cab trade. The clown that is Boris Johnson has a lot to answer for , not Farage.

Actually I'm multi-tasking ie listening to us on BP.

I'll bow to your superior knowledge (for once ) on Uber drivers in London but personally I believe in competition.
