UEFA CUP

If we draw wycombe in the QF at home and progress to the semi finals along with Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal and they finish in the top 4. Will we qualify for the Uefa cup qualifying rounds?

I know it is alot of if's but's and maybe's but who thought last night would have happened so i have given myself licence to DREAM

No, we have to win the competition for a European spot. Even runners up to a team that has already qualified wont be good enough.

Wigan were runners up to Man United last year. United went in the CL and Wigan got diddley squat.

Oh, and not only do we have to win it (which clearly we are) but we have to stay up. Tier 3 teams can't qualify for UEFA Cup.

b******s. French fourth division club Calais played in the UEFA Cup five or six years ago.

Sounds about right. Couldn't possible have a little team taking the place of a big club.

Sounds about right. Couldn't possible have a little team taking the place of a big club.

I am still not convinced there would be such a ruling. Gretna qualified for Europe and they were 3rd tier at the time. Ok, they were promoted, but at the time of qualification they were 3rd tier.

I managed Southend on LMA manager 2007, I took Southend down in 2006/07 (as the squad not good enough) but took them straight back up as runner up in League 1 in 2007/08 but I won the League Cup which mean I enter the UEFA Cup (I end up getting Real Madrid & PSG in same group!).

No matter what level they play in, they still get into UEFA Cup if they play in League 2 & has reach the cup final & win it. FA Cup Runner Up can get into UEFA if they play agasint a team that finish in top 4.
