Now I know I know its only a friendly BUT there is going to be a good turnout today and its going to be the first match of a forthcoming season back down the Hall.

So lets still sing up and get right behind the team especially the new lads that have signed and ones on trial, we want to show them that this is the right club for them to join where they are going to feel wanted! this is our duty today.

Also we live for years and years in the shadow of West Ham locals sporting there tops spouting their cockney crap all the time but we no better!

My dad is West Ham being from Canning Town went to watch them home and away for years he did and when I was born it was expected of me to be West Ham, however I was born in Rochford Hospital back in September 1985, I ask you this question people what the hell reason have I got to be West Ham?..... NOTHING

I support my Southend, they represent who I am and where I am from they are my team they are my pride they are my passion, and all the we won the world cup , trevor brooking, karen brady **** can go do one.

Sing up today people, today is rare chance to walk away with some local pride.

Woah, don't let him get away with that, you came on here and were decent and respectful and got it thrown back in your face, Colchester may only have 11 fans but respect due to the 11 as without them we would wouldn't have an Essex rival. Everyone is slagging West Ham as the big club who tread on our toes and their fans show no respect - we shouldn't be the same as them when you are here showing an interest. Ditch the other 10 and come join us!

Agree with this, I have great respect for all fans of lower league clubs and as pointed out without any other teams to play
wouldnt life be boring.

There is no West Ham rivalry! The clubs are worlds apart. A true rivalry is between two clubs but the fact is West Ham have no bad feelings towards us, in fact I know people who support both clubs. Our rivalry is with Col U, disliking West Ham makes us look like jealous 5 year olds!
