Trouble in the west stand

KrustyTheKray

President
Anyone know what was going on??

I see a steward/security bloke push a guy with two hands with some force, seemed a bit off and out of order if you ask me.

Shame they pick on our fans, but never have the balls with away fans.

Please enlighten me, i was standing at the east/south corner of the ground waiting to exit.

Cracking game today, but this squirmish towards the end somewhat dampened it.

Anyone got any explanations??

I heard a few of them wanted to keep the ball and not give it back for a Col U throw in.

wasnt it the same fan that caused the trouble at oxford last year.

Not sure but from wear i was sitting it looked a bit wong for the steward to be pushing someone.

I hope the steward don't appeal to the F.A if he gets in trouble as he might get an extra weeks wages taken away or an extra game ban

Stockley ALLEGEDLY spat at a fan who was giving him abuse when he went to take the throw in

Sod it, I am going to say it as I saw it, and I was in a damned good position. The fan concerned, someone not of young years and who should know better, tried to hold onto the ball as the Col Ewe player tried to take the throw in, Naturally the Col Ewe player and the referee, were aggrieved. The player may well have said something but I didn't see him spit (not saying he didn't). The stewards, eventually, intervened in a heated argument while the game continued.

The "violent" push on said fan occured when he tried to jump over the wall. Excessive force ? I don't think so, we're hardly talking Mitchell Cole with the fan. As far as I'm concerned all he wanted to do was get thrown out of the ground and walk in front of the North Bank. He got his wish as the stewards eventually let him jump over the wall. If the stewards had any sense they should have marched him out of the ground the long way. Obviously he is going to have his side of the story and I would love to hear it !

Unpopular ? That's me but I'm saying it as I saw it.

Please if this is the only thing that occured in a game against our hated rivals people should be happy, after all this was a football match not a game of droughts. Someone not giving the ball back ohhhhhhhhhhhh

Nothing wrong with that Orm, just calling it as you see it. Glad you did.

From where I was sitting, it looked like a "potentially" violent push, but I also thought it was on a child of no more than 12. Clearly, my view from the South Upper means I had absolutely no view at all. Looked harsh from where I was sitting but obviously not!

My thoughts exactly....why on earth escort him out in front of the away fans? Surely common sense would be to take him the long way round the pitch to avoid that?

Or escourt him out of the back of the stadium

From the way I saw it (right behind the incident) I'm pretty sure the big geezer that eventuallly was chucked out, wasn't the one that threw the ball away from Stockley, it was some little kid down the front. When this happened Stockley got the ump and walked right up to the wall and then everyone started moving down the front to give him some stick, including the big man. I didnt see Stockley spit but he definately did something to wind the bloke up big time as he was absoloutely fuming. It seemed the stewards didn't actually chuck him out as they waited til the end of the game which I thought was weird. Not the cleverest thing to do walk him right in front of the away end.
