transfer window

am I right in thinking the window opens on the first? if so we could have some new faces by the time wallsall come to town, I know we getting M'voto back but will we get others, can we afford any? I think a left back older than 12 is a must, some pace up top with barney and a winger would be my ideal priorities, I know I talking rubbish but imagine theo (got thirteen mins today for udders and basically warms the bench) and dorian coming back ala last season and having a similar effect to boot, could start climbing the table and flirting with the play offs again, just some randomness off the top of my head, where do you lot think our priorities should be in the transfer window?

Don't want Theo, proved to be right in my judgement of him in his appearances at Huddersfield.

I thought he gave us that release ball behind the oppo defence thanks to his pace, we just dont have that at the mo, and you cant deny we improved greatly with him in the team, scored some goals and caused the oppo problems

Huddersfield have other strike options and a manager who likes to chop and change. Robinson showed last season that he needs a run of games to get going. He's a superb outlet and knows where the goal is. He's defintely been the best foil for barney. I'd have him back in a flash, very unlikelly though I'd imagine

M'Voto and a winger would be great. If Morrison is with us for a while I'd shift Barrett to left back

M'voto is coming back from January until the end of the season already is'nt he??

Add a left back or another Centre back (Push Barratt to left back) and we look ok defensiveley.

A creative Midfielder or winger is a must and a decent second forward.

Imagine having M'Voto, Dervitte, Robson-Kanu and Robinson sign in January!!!

i would like that alot but its just not going to happen

I think, as with last season, a lot depends on what Tilly and Brush can do in the transfer market, to freshen up the team. We have 29 points from 24 games at present. If we win against Walsall, we will be 1 point better off from 25 games than we were last season after 27 games, and that was a season when we flirted with the play offs till the last couple of matches. Even in 2007/08, when we made the play-offs, that was on the back of a really good second half of the season. After 27 matches, we only had 37 points then, but we then went on a very good run to get into the play-offs.

I am not suggesting we will necessarily be anything other than mid table this season, but those games and points totals from our last two seasons in the division put things in a bit of perspective. Neither year did we have a free-scoring striker. In fact, last year, Barnard and Theo between them only got 18, one short of Barny's total this year, unless he wins the argument with Macca.

Decent loanees and hanging on to Barnard will be vital...
