I guess now some clubs are starting to publish their retained/released lists, it's now time to open up a fresh thread ahead of what we hope will be a very productive summer transfer window, whatever division we may find ourselves in.

With no restrictions (hurrah) and now we are getting back to operating like a proper club again, hopefully this thread will be more exciting and productive.

Please keep the playground squabbles out of it and the thread on topic. General non-transfer talk is strictly banned. Anyone consistently flouting the rules will be given a holiday from this thread.

Interesting post from @TheSouthendUnitedRunner on another thread stating that the Football Department will have two lists - one for if we get promotion, and one if we don't so for our NL title winning campaign for next year.

Would have thought there would be a lot of overlap but maybe not?

I'd love to get Josh Rees. I have been saying it for so long. He again had a great season in an awful Daggers team. Out of contract, local and we've been linked before.

I know he doesn't fit the age profile, but we need to add goals and assists to the midfield, he does both in abundance.

Lots of players out of contract at Gateshead. They've been way off the mark since January, but they played us off the park at Roots Hall. Might be one or two worth looking at there? Maybe Greg Olley, for a start, an attacking midfielder and our sort of intelligent, articulate player.

I'm pretty sure that Chesterfield will be looking at signing him and even in league 2, Cosu won't get dragged into a bidding war with them and their superior finances.

Goodliffe can't get a game at his current L2 club - is he good enough for L2?

Pepple is out of contract in the summer Tommy.

It will be really interesting what Chesterfield do. They are in the playoffs and may be promoted, he isn't ready for league 1. They also benched him a lot recently. He still managed 5 goals in 20 games though. Which isn't bad for his first attempt at that level. Also has bags of potential, at a very young age.

If we stay in the league, I'd like to see us go for George Alexander from Eastbourne. If we go up, I feel that it may be too big a step up for a NLS player. 24 goals in 39 games though

Dion Pereira could be tidy addition as well as Josh Rees who scores a few goals from midfield in recent season . Wouldn’t mind golding back .
