Hey all, I'm hoping someone could help me with a problem.
On saturday, when I was returning from the game, I was on a slightly delayed train to Manchester. This messed up my whole journey, however, and long story short I arrived in Preston after the last rail replacement coach to Lancaster had departed. After dealing with a p**k of an employee who told me that getting back to Lancaster was my problem, and not his I ended up having to get a taxi to other side of the city to catch the last Stagecoach bus to Lancaster. As a result I am now out an additional 15 pounds. Since this all happened through no fault of my own, I was hoping to maybe get a refund of this money, since to say I'm broke at the moment is a definite understatement.
I have contacted National Rail, who told me to get in touch with the train company I was on. However, I have no idea who to get in touch with, since every service I was on or supposed to be on was operated by a different train company, and the two that I thought might be able to help basically don't care about my problem.
So does anyone know who I maybe should get in touch with, or should I just forget about the whole thing and move on.
Thanks
-Seth
