I think he's a little way off of popping, and his Consistency is not up to much, so I would try and cut your losses. Put him on the TM for 100k and see if you get a bite, then maybe buy a comp/comp with reasonable stamina 17yo and train him instead.

cheers billericay blue i had a hunch that was the case, when you say comp/comp do you mean his bowling and consistency? or am i way off the track?

Yep that's right.

I just bought this guy tonight, cost me nearly 300K which is slightly overpriced perhaps but still, needed a new bowling trainee. With his mediocre batting I think it's a reasonably decent deal, however his wages are at £624 - is he at a base level for both batting and bowling? I hope not but have a feeling he may be.

one last annoying question! I seem to have trouble getting anyone to buy my players even the seemingly descent ones, is there a trick ie selling at particular times and is the price comparison tool the only way to guage starting price? i really am sorry for my incompetence and i wont hassle any longer than i need to lol:confused:

I'd say he's roughly worth around the same as my bloke, as your player has 2 stamina on mine and mine has 3 cons on yours. £298K and £250K doesnt make much difference to me while I'm earning £80,000 a week interest.

Does everyone else getting that much refuse to go under 1.6 or so million pounds due to those rates??

I think he might be , as the secondaries will take out about #80. You might be lucky though, he could be high mediocre batting.

Don't worry about asking questions, we all do it :o

No real trick to as far as I'm concerned, although it can pay to have your player coming to the end of his selling time when there are lots of people on line, so for example if you list at 10 on a Tuesday morning, he'll come to the end of his time at 10 on a Friday morning, just as people are making their last adjustments to their teams for that days games.

He has 2 on bowling right now. Cant be bothered with the stamina until he starts playing.

I'm stealing YB's one net policy for my quality 21 year olds. One net each for the next two seasons.

I need more bloody nets for stamina. Training up young trainees and first teamers is difficult, particularly on a non-primary skill.

I'm going to try that a bit later in the season, just need to get a few more players up to that sort of level.

If I start training a strong/strong 20yo on 1 net now, where will he be at the end of next season ? Quality/Quality ? He's pretty much base at both from what I can remember.

I'd imagine so - I'm working on the principle on a pop per season on older players so it should be even more so for a 20 year old.

Just bought this guy for a fairly inflated £208K. Far too expensive for his skills but I just loved the name. He should be pretty close to popping though (wages of £624) so with one bowling training net he'll be a reasonable trainee.

Why 2 bowling? If you've two "spare" nets one bat and one bowling is far more efficient.

Train him into an all-rounder instead of a bowler with high primary but a weak secondary.
