Train Times for Doncaster

Plan 2,

Thanks too all the people that responded to the other thread but due to the fact school finishes at 3.30pm I have given up on the idea of getting DadCab all the way there.

So can people that honestly know tell me the following please:

- What times the latest trains are that I will be able to get to the match on time.

- The length of the train Journey.

- From Hockley, and proud of it, station what method will I have to use to get there.

- The cost of a child ticket all the way there and back.

If were you mate I'd forget about the train. The last one to Kings Cross is around 10pm and the ground is approx 20 mins from the station. Added to that if it goes to extra time & pens you're walking home.

3.30 thru to 7.45 means you have 4 hours & 15 minutes, if you dad has a decent motor and a heavy right foot then you might be there for kick off if roads are clear... Train is a non starter in my opinion..

He is right you know. I got stuck there years ago and it wasn't nice. Even the waiting room was shut and it was sodding freezing. Unless you intend to get a premier inn for the night then forget it.

Ok. How much would 3 child single tickets and one adult single ticket cost from Hockley to Doncaster at 1556?

I am hopefully going to get the coach back.

Fares would be huge about £50 each child, £100 adult, might be cheaper if you've got a railcard, but honestly forget this, it would be a tight schedule, delays happen you could pay out all that money and still miss the game.

The coaches are free, but if you can't have Friday afternoon off then I hate to say it, but you would best to give it a miss.

The coaches leave the watermill at 2.40 and thats about as late as you could leave it.

Elliott, if you're considering that then it might be worth looking into driving to Cambridge and seeing how that connects up trainwise. We've done it before to go north, you change at Peterborough. That way you can use the road for what should be a fairly easy stretch then the train for the rest. No idea on prices though, if you use the National Rail website it gives you options on prices and trains.

Kay I still think the problem still exists with the last train out of Doncaster is around 10pm, whether it's Kings Cross or Peterborough.

I know Harry, but he said he was hoping to get on a coach on the way back, so singles would be ok, especially if they can be dropped in Cambridge.

yeah, bunk after lunch! just go sick bay just before lunch and ask to go home or just go home and take the punishment, o no, not a detention! do it!

The cheapest available fare for for one adult and three children singles is a measly £246:25

Or if you're thinking about getting the coach back, then i'd get in touch with the club to make sure this is alright to do

Good luck mate

I was under the impression that Bluetonic didn't have the greatest opinion of Hockley, which was one of the causes of friction between himself and Scott.
That may be true. I haven't read many of the friction incidents themselves so can't comment, but I can say that he did spend quite a lot of time in Hockley.

You can't be serious. Was that what started it all, slagging off Hockley? If only I had known, I would of had a field day.
