people have been saying that we are getting loans from tottenham'

SOUTHEND????

Lets just hope ayee ++ anyone know amy other sufc rumours?

according to that joke of a thread we're loaded so expect to see robbie keane and jonathan woodgate coming down to the essex coast to put themselves in the shop window for a summer move.

Harry Kane, perhaps?

Yep. Good shout. Although only 17, so goes against what PS has said about bringing in people that have "been there and done that"

Also Ryan Fredericks is another with potential at Spurs. Similar to Aaron Lennon, with pace and trickery. Can operate on the left and right wings I believe.

I know every transfer is a risk, but not a big fan of getting really young kids from premiership teams now - very few are any good at this sort of level. Look at Sanchez Watt - very highly thought of and had played for Arsenal firs XI, but was cack for us... now a regular starter for Leeds in the CCC.

With our crowd the way they are and the general malaise around the club, I'm not sure if the young kids coming from the environment of the cushy premier clubs will cope well.

I like the sound of PS policy of getting some fresh faces that know their ways around this league... will be an interesting week or two.

I'd much prefer getting in someone with League experience, particularly forwards who'll undoubtedly have a thicker skin and are less likely to take abuse to heart.

Totally agree that experience is the way to go and Sturrock has said as much. This year alone we've had Fairhurst and German who haven't exactly pulled any trees in their time at The Hall.
As for our crowd, I'm not buying into this theory that 'we're the worst fans in the league' that seems to going about at the moment and that any young players might not be able to cope as a result. We're no better or worse than many other clubs fans who are seeing their club struggling at the minute. In fact, I think over the last 18 months or so we've been pretty lenient, patient and optimistic. For example, how many other clubs would have put up with Martin's rubbish for so long with only some half hearted 'Martin out' chants and just a solitary protest at the end of last season which Ron squashed by replying to the fans 'I'll see you all Monday' before returning to the comfort of the boardroom?! Not many I'd wager.

yeh lets get some loan players from spurs, you wont get better players anywhere else at the moment, quality side spurs ha ha.
