I personally thought car wise it was cack but entertainment value was fantastic!!!

Hammond's crash was unreal!

Real Funny but not the top gear it used to be.

Think the 1st one back after the crash was always going to be a bit like that. Give it the whole series before you decide if it's going downhill or not.

Yer I thought that but I was just a little disapointed that's all.

Personally, the "24 roadworks" thing sounded like something they'd do (though I have to say, I'm not going anywhere near that road until it's relaid), and the car was very Clarksony. My worst part of the show was that tw&t Jamie Oliver. Though I did like to see him wreck the car's chassis.

I loved it. Thank God they were in a position to be able to return with all three of them intact!

I thought it was really good, especially for the first show of the new series and in the aftermath of Hamsters crash, the footage of which was really quite amazing. Loved the bit when before starting Hammond said something along the lines of "if this goes wrong it could be a very big accident".

The bit at the end was genius. "Remember, speed kills!" Loved it!

The road relaying was typical Top Gear I thought. Again it was very entertaining and funny.

To be fair, they could have given us more car stuff, but due to having to leave time for the crash footage and it being the first one back, this can be forgiven.

Thought Jamie Oliver was good value really. Did have his funny moments and got in the mood for it as well, competitiveness that you come to expect from Top Gear.

All in all, loved it! Only one week, 5 hours and 47 minutes until the next one...

Anyone who cant wait for the next episode can watch clips from the last few series' on their website, bbc.co.uk/topgear, would put a link but will only mess it up. Got some hilarious stuff from epsiodes gone past, including the aquatic cars.

<Cut to studio>

Clarkson: You dolt! As soon as you say that you're bound to have an accident!

<May slaps Hamster over head, Hamster looks embarressed>

Happens every time...

Hammond falling down the slope trying to spray the line! I am going to search for the episode on youtube!

That was Captain Slow - Hamster was trying to set up the barrier that would stop the mini from destroying the town.

Clarkson: I'm 99.9% certain that that barrier isn't going to stop our mini.
Hamster: Why?
Clarkson: Well, one, it's not substantial enough, and two, the mini is going down that ramp <poits to one next to one with barrier>, not this one.
Hamster: Ah. Right.

D'oh!
