Despite the fact that some players may be rested for this game and that most of our new signings are likely to start, what will tonight's result be?

Think we may be brought back to reality tonight. Saturday was a good start against a poor Plymouth side, but Yeovil aren't in the Championship for no reason. Partly depends on how seriously they are taking this competition, i.e. if they put out a reserve side we've got a decent chance, but if its mainly their first team I think we'll struggle. If thats the case I see a 0-2 defeat on the cards..

No replays. Extra time and penalties, if required.

I've got a sneaky feeling that we might nick a win.

How many times have we actually beaten a team 2 Divisions higher than us in a cup competition? Only a couple of times in our history I think.
So chance of a major cup upset if we win tonight.

Derby in 1987 (over two legs). I guess Spurs in 1989 doesn't count as we went out on aggregate (although they were three divisions above us!). Bristol City in 2010.

What other examples have there been?

Wimbledon in 2004 or around then.

not massively bothered by the result, as long as we play well and dont get stuffed i wont mind. its a good chance for newer players to get a game and show us what they can do

well it felt like it at the time :winking:

The subsequent press coverage made it feel like that certainly. I know it was a wonderful surprise and all that but it was reported as if the Turks and Caicos Islands had just beaten Brazil. We were only a division below Man Utd at the time...

We were about 2 places above League One though and hadnt won in about 17 games.

We may have been in the championship, but we werent a championship level side.
