I had a win @ the weekend thanks to Brentford and Notts Forest. In my opinion I see this as a fairly predictable outcome.... Although Ip Dip Doo often works better.

I honestly believe this will be under 2.5 goals but I think an early goal in the first 15 minutes and it could be 4/5 goals in the game... No early goal and some profit please!!

I've never understood spread betting....

Is it something along the lines of if there are 0 goals then I earn even more but for every goal over I lose more?

You dont actually hand any money over when you bet but you need an account with a credit limit.

Basically i think its a fairer way to bet as the bookie makes the market and you can go either side.

Fixed odds betting doesn't always give you a fair price.

If the market is 2.5 goals and you go £100 per point lower, and he total is 0, you win 2.5 x your stake.

However, it its a 6 goal thriller you lose 3.5 times your stake.

If you buy the bet (go long) you always know what your maximum loss will be. e.g. if you go higher than 2.5 and its 0-0 you can only lose your stake x 2.5.
However, if you go lower, you wont know your loss until the end of the game.

go to www.sportingindex.com, they used to have a sort of practice type thing where no money changes hands and you can have a go.

Adam Barrets goal minutes tonight are quoted as 2-4 (the bit in the middle is the bookies margin so if they take 10 bets higher and 10 bets lower they still make a profit.

Ive gone £2.00 per point higher. Its not likely to win and if he doesnt score I lose 2 x £2 = 4 quid.

However, if he pops up in the 90th minute with a goal, I win 86 x my stake.

Be a bit careful though, especially in the big tournaments. Managed to turn a 240 gain into a 300 quid loss within 24 hours at the last Euros betting total goal minutes for the tournament.

Total Goal Yardage for the World Cup will be on my list this year.

On reflection yes but at the time absolutely gutted. I thought the goal should have stood. I never bet hoping we would not score I obviously hoped for us to win 2-0 but a bet is a bet I have won. If I lost because Southend had a great fightback then I would have wanted to be a part of that and cheer and support the blues to a 3-2 victory.

I wasnt too happy about it. 84th minute - 4 = 80 x £2, would have been a £160 winner.
