Interesting to see an old Southend favourite was man of the match for Wycombe gainst Chelsea mid week, 9 out 10 rating acording to the sun. I remember him being the difference up at Oxford a couple of years ago when dispite his age , running our deffence ragged for most of the game. Really thought that when he anounced he was leaving them we might have taken a punt for a couple of years, but we got the goat instead. Still think he could do a valuble job for us the way the Goat did, for a small fee and couple of years contract as he is not only a goal scorer but goal maker unlike most of our strikers who are either one or the other. He left us in 94 after only 14 games and 5 goals...would love to see him back.

no thanks . . . played well enough against Chelsea in midweek but in my opinion past his sell-by date as far as we're concerned - if he could cut it at this level, then i'm sure more clubs would have tried to secure his services by now
