I would be disgusted if I found this to be true. These are the men entrusted to mastermind next year's league one assault-surely they do not have time to be bored? Worst of all, it seems that they may be spending their time 'surfing' internet messageboards for transfer rumours! If they are at a loose end of an afternoon then surely Ron could run Tilly through some corporate 'assessment centre' style drills with hired actors so that he could brush up on his negotiating skills? Alternatively how about they watch some imported DVDs of Sean O'Driscoll's magical mid-table Bournemouth side for some tactical tips- now that was total football!. If there is any justice in this world I will shortly be receiving an official SMS from the club stating categorically that 'Steve Tilson is not bored although regular updates, podcasts and offers on Paul Brush related souvenirs can be found on www.southendunited.co.uk'

Disagree to all those who thought this was a surprise.
Tilly's been known to admire Skiverton ever since the Yeovil L2 title winning season and I often thought we might try & sign him.
When I saw he'd signed a new deal at Huish Park I did wonder if we had maybe tried to get him in.

Sure people said the same when signed Sodje and Spinner but they both played well. Im sure tilly wouldnt sign someone with the intention that there not up to the job and we must remember the lewis and che have gone so we need squad players aswell as first teamers.
