I wonder who we'll play? Southampton anyone???[b said:Quote[/b] (pboreham @ July 26 2006,08:17)]Yeeeeeaa! 101 years old celebrations!
How did that work?[b said:Quote[/b] (londonblue @ July 26 2006,08:18)]Also in the Echo, JCRs transfer fee was £30,000.
That was the original asking price. Rotherham must have known they were on a sticky wicket over the contract situation, hence Ron was able to get JCR on the cheap.[b said:Quote[/b] (Ljubljana Branch @ July 26 2006,10:06)]How did that work?[b said:Quote[/b] (londonblue @ July 26 2006,08:18)]Also in the Echo, JCRs transfer fee was £30,000.
RM done superbly well there. I'm still a little confused by the whole thing, as I thought it was £25k (3 months wages) plus £100k (+VAT £17.5k) = £142,500.
I'm confused....
At least they've committed themselves to something now, and if they fail to deliver we can quite rightly give them some abuse![b said:Quote[/b] (General Easterly @ July 26 2006,10:31)]Are they sure the centenary match is going to be next year??? After all, that doesn't leave them much time to (dis)organise things. It may well creep up on them.
AGreed, but the Rotherham Chairman said that RM was welcome anytime and that he'd been generous. £30k isn't overly generous.[b said:Quote[/b] (Upminster Blue @ July 26 2006,11:16)]That was the original asking price. I don't know about you Ken but I personally have never masturbated over ANY Shrimperzone topic!!!![b said:Quote[/b] (mcnasty @ July 26 2006,10:25)]I wonder if we , in any small way , have contributed to this by our mass debates on this subject on ShrimperZone.
Agreed 100% with this![b said:Quote[/b] (TMWLT @ July 26 2006,11:49)]but theres no escaping from the fact this year is our 100th year, and lets face it, with the club riding on an all time high in terms of popularity, it could also have been a nice earner for the club, ie sales of stuff in the club shop etc etc. Next year is a little bit too late.
I still think we the fans, could show the club how to get it right, so how about my idea
