The Bradford result is history. All that matters is that we put together somehow or other three wins in a row.

Wimbledon H, Barnet H should be possible surely? And all thats needed in the middle of the sandwich is a memorable win at Torquay that will have us remyniscing for years.

Who's to say it won't happen in this topsy turvey League ?

By five pm next Saturday we could be third and 2 points behind second place.

Until it isn't possible it is still possible.

That's more like it!

Imagine if the players and manager had the same negative mentality as some of our fans!

Imagine the shambles! Come on you blues!

Still buzzing for Monday in the NB! Let's ave it!

I believe Freddy went off today with a knee injury. Hope him and Barker will be fine for monday.

No chance of top 3 now. And there's a fair chance Crawley will be in the play-offs with us. Anyone fancy that? No, me neither.

Is Freddy's injury a bad one or was he taken off as a precaution? Anyone know?

Should we get to wembley it is Chelts I would want to avoid. As said before for me they're, on their day, the 2nd best team going forward. Did you see their goal today? I'd worry we'd do a Lincoln in the 2005 final where our hoof ball gets us to witjin a whisker but then the dynamic going forward side eventually chews us to pieced towardss the end. I believe that team to be Chelts. For interest the current top 3 are the favs to go up automatically with Crawley favs to win play -offs with oddschecker.

I disagree, if you offered me the chance to face Cheltenham in the play-off final right now I'd snap your hand off. The wheels have come off for them (like us) in the past 8 weeks and today saw their first goals in over 600 minutes of football. Out of all the sides in and around the play-off positions they are probably the side I'd want to face the most if we got to Wembley. If we face Crawley at any stage I fear it's goodnight Vienna - I'm now hoping they pip Shrewsbury to 3rd. Facing the Shrews would be more than tough but I give us no chance against Crawley......

Agree to a point. I think Chelts will show signs of turning the screw at the right time. the time to go into play offs in form. We've been inconsistent since Xmas so why do some on here think this'll dramatically change between now and the Semi final second leg?

It won't. Because our style doesn't in any way play to our best players strengths. I don't believe we have much hope of getting out of this league now and I look at the sides likely to be in the play-offs with us and to be honest I fear all of them because we've been dire since before Xmas. Given the choice I'd prefer either Cheltenham (or maybe Oxford) in any play-off final should we get through somehow, it would give us the best chance but I wouldn't be especially confident. However if Crawley end up in the play-offs I see no team good enough to stop them getting to Wembley.

Looking at the fixtures it was highly unlikely we'd make the top 3 even if we won today. Could Shrewsbury & Crawley have easier run-ins??!! Deary me, Torquay are looking great on 78pts but it's still quite conceivable that they could still end up 4th with a huge points tally for that position!!

Oxford Utd V Torquay
Torquay V Southend
Wimbledon V Torquay
Torquay V Crewe
Hereford V Torquay

Shrewsbury V Bradford
Shrewsbury V Rotherham
Shrewsbury V Port Vale
Accrington V Shrewsbury
Shrewsbury V Dag & Red
Wimbledon V Shrewsbury

Barnet V Crawley
Crawley V Wimbledon
Crawley V Northampton
Dag & Red V Crawley
Crawley V Hereford
Accrington V Crawley

Two from three, and someone above will be comfortable favourites in the play-offs...... :stunned:

Yes any good form should be useful for the playoffs. I just can't see us getting into form what so ever at the moment, now with a few more suspensions and injuries it looks even less likely we will be able to get some results together.

We seem to have reverted back to the inconsistency of last season.

Even if we get to the playoffs we have NO CHANCE.If we had played some football instead of hoofball we would have been as good as promoted with the players we have.

Crawley may look to have the easier run in on paper, but at this stage in the season, with clubs fighting for their league lives odd results get thrown up. I hate to be presumptuous, but next Saturday is the key game. I'd even say rest those who are carrying injury on Monday and give some fringe players a game. They have to prove their worth and who knows? They may well do so.

These next 3 games are winnable, it's not enough for us to believe that, the players have to believe it also.

As long as we make the Play-Off's (I think automatic is beyond us) I would prefer to save the three wins in a row for them!!!!

I have no great preference in terms of opponents as we have a squad capable of beating (and of course losing) to any team in our league. Purely on the grounds of "grinning like a Cheshire Cat" at Fat Boy, his club and their supporters - I would really, really enjoy Crawley Town at Wembley!! Just the thought ...and a very, very cheeky smile on this "old skool" face!

Its a great image Kev, but i just can't see us making it to Wembley

How good would it be to see us beat Crawley at Wembley, with Evans getting sacked after the game? I would call that a perfect end to the season!
