Tilson continues to look at inferior players to those that he has already outed!

Another gem he has got he's eye on, Morison for Stevenage live tv today. Saw him against Daggers and again today and he aint fit to lace Matt Harrold's boots. Seriously though Wayne Gray looked a far better player than the misfits Tilson fancies, last night for Yeovil he looked a good player. Said it before Eastwood was a bit of luck on Tilson's part as the cheap jokers he keeps looking at are Conference standard at best!

Well he's only looking - he hasn't bought Morison yet has he?

Can't say I agree with that (except maybe for the 90 minutes part). I was a fan of MC but given the way average League 1 defenders could put him out of the game, I'm really not sure what the more experienced, faster, more "professional?" Championship players would have done to him.

I'm a firm believer that players eventually find their level. The likes of Wayne Gray, Mitchell Cole, etc might offer some proof of that. The same can be said of course about Michael Kightley though.

As for JCR and his creativity, it can certainly be hit or miss, but it wouldn't surprise me if a bid or two came in for him over the summer from Championship clubs.

to be honest he was pretty average for the rest of the game.. coley played well until he took a knock

Yes, may not have lasted 90 mins but far more useful than JCR in terms of creating something.

I really don't know how you work that out. Apart from his lack of fitness, Cole's biggest achilles heel was his final ball, which was mostly woeful, so I really don't see how he would have created more chances than JCR. Besides, JCR's crossing improved drastically throughout the season and he did have his fair share of assists in the end.

It's a great shame Cole didn't fulfil his potential with us as he definitely had the raw ability. Unfortunately, it appears his alleged health problems will always hamper him and like South Bank Hank commented, he had a tendency to hide once a defender clobbered him, which was quite often. I do think Tillly should have used Cole more from the bench, though.

So, do you have personal experience of being 'outed' Wiggy? When did you come 'out'? The thrill of the Tom Robinson Band proved too alluring did it?

Morison was pretty hapless all game, but like a true goalscorer he was in the right place at the right time when it mattered. Perhaps he maybe worth a punt, although there are others I'd like over him. He's scored bucketloads this season, Sky said 33! Soccerbase says 27 though?

As I said in the Ex Shrimpers forum, Mitchell was the best player on the pitch.

Ah...........at last a like minded individual :D

I would not have let Mitchell Cole go, it will be Kightly all over again with him, he will go on to bigger and much better things, and not keeping hold of him witht the tiny squad we had, was very foolish. Did a lot more thatn peapol reaslise last season, set up 6 goals, which was one of our highest if you look on the stats on OS. I agree that he did not get involved enough, which seems to be peoples main criticism of Mitchell Cole, but when he did get involved he was superb, so imagine if we could have just nurtured him to be the player that was always involved, then he could have been a terrific signing.

Dont forget Grays' fans were much more upset at losing Mitchell Cole than our king Freddy, and to be honest I can really see the potential as to why.

In my opinion, of all of the transfer howlers that Tilly has made, dropping Mitchell Cole when there was a distinct possibility of a swift return to league 1, is his worst transfer mistake to date.

Yeah I agree, we should've been more patient with Mitchell. We should've loaned him to Stevenage and then made a decision on him in the summer bearing on how he did and what League we were in. Seemed the logical thing to do anyway.

I was surprised Mitchell left and thought he was a good player from the bench.

However looking at him yesterday he was limping around at the end like an 80 year old man not a 20 year old, or whatever he is.

Definitely lots of potential and will no doubt play league football again but for the time being he has a serious issue with strength and fitness.
