Tilson backs Scannell to shine this season

It explains the release of Black, who was in the team every week in the last few months.

He has always showed glimpses of what he can do when came on but its always been said his fitness is not up to scratch. He seems to have made a point in the reserves. He will def be a player to watch next season.

Brush has confirmed on the OS that Mulgrew is a target and talks are on going with Wolves...

Watching the video interview, I'd say Brush's body language was coming across as if he was quite hopeful.

Be worried if Scannell was our only option next season on the right.

I agree it wouldn't be ideal, given that he is only just making the step up to league football. Saying that, he has to be given an opportunity to play otherwise we'll never know whether he's good enough and he has impressed in the reserves.

Well according to that article we are still trying to sign Mulgrew, fingers crossed then!

Im really pleased about this. I think Mulgrew has been an excellent addition to our team for the latter part of the season and I think he was a great replacement for Hammel. Hopefully we do everything we can to secure him.

Yeah it is a little worrying I agree. Although he wasnt thrown in at the deep end last season but had been eased in slowly to matches as a sub and made numerous appearances in ther reserves. As Tilson said there aren't really any doubts about his talent, they just need to get him match fit. After pre-season I am sure that he will do a good job.

There's no doubt about it though, we need some experience in the team.

Glad Tilly has said this, I've thought the same for a while. I expect to see Zoltan Liptak make a bit of an impact next year too.

Like I've said numerous times, us not going up this season would be good for the likes of Scanell, Herd, Liptak, Masters, Ademeno. They wouldn't be chucked into Championship football, but maybe League One.

Scanell is gonna be a massive player for us next season, providing he has an injury free pre-season, of that I'm pretty certain.

Personally i think Mulgrew is better. I will be honest and say that I thought he was very poor when we first got him but he has matured into a very decent player! I never thought Hammell was the player he was billed to be and would choose Mulgrew over him any day!
