Tilly's 300th game in charge

Junior Blues Coordinator⭐⭐🦐
Steve Tilson is only the 5th manager in our history to achieve this landmark tonight at Swindon, and of those 5, he has the highest percentage of wins - 42%. The other 4 are Ted Birnie (1922-1934) - 38%; Harry Warren (1940-1956) - 40%; Arthur Rowley (1970-76) - 36% and Dave Smith (1976-1983) also on 40%.

Let's hope he can celebrate this with a win tonight!

Good one, Kay! A spotter's badge for you and let's hope he'll be on the Guinness after the game tonight

On a more negative slant (sorry!) did I hear right that our next defeat will be the 100th under Tilson?

As for the 300 - may there be many hundreds more!

I think that was against Millwall.

I reckon its 127 wins, 72 draws and 100 defeats. I may well be wrong!

I've just remembered where I heard it now. It was on local radio in Hereford - in a taxi en route to the game. So I wouldn't necessarily expect them to be spot on, unless maybe they were referring solely to league games?

That's dreadful, even Dick Bate didn't manage that many !!

Seriously, there is a bit (full of the usual errors) on the official site about it.

I'm sure if Dick Bate had remained in charge he would have reached the magic 100 3 years sooner than Tilly.

It did also say that together with his 275 games for us as a player, it means Tilly has been involved in more Blues games than anyone else in our history.

I must admit i was one of those who was complaining about Tilly earlier on in the season and so on but i really admire him for the way he has turned it all around. We are playing good football and looking a side who can beat anyone if we put our minds to it. I hope Tilly gets a couple of hundred more games for us.
