Tilly for left back

Seeing as we don't seem to have signed anyone yet I reckon Tilly should step into the left back berth for Che on Saturday.

I reckon he could still do a job us and would love to see him back in a Southend shirt.

Any thoughts?

No chance, not after seeing him the last time out, was it against Macclesfield or Swindon?

I remember the last time I saw Tilly play (at Carlisle 3 years ago) & he was a poor shadow of the player we knew & loved.

Playing him on Saturday would be disasterous!

Edwin, I fear that if I listen carefully I can just make out the sound of a barrel being scraped.

You'll be campaigning for the return of Martyn Booty next.

Urgh... I remember seeing him up at Moss Rose against Macc Town; not a happy memory.

Sadly it sounds like our beloved manager is past his sell by date on the pitch...shame.

I would love to see Martyn Booty back, anyone know where he is plying his trade these days?!

Tesco in Cirencester. He works on the deli counter.

Booty is the first team coach at Huddersfield.

As for Tilly don't be Silly! Last time he played at Macc away about 3 years ago he was well off the pace. This is surely the most stupid post of the year so far!

Why thank you...I take that as a great compliment.

It was slightly tongue in cheek but given the paucity of movement in the transfer market Tilly might have to get his boots on!!

Wright, who was playing as left back as trailist last summer, will be playing in that postion, unless we get someone on loan or as new signing.

I should hope we get someone in before Saturday then...

I know but everyone deserves a 2nd chance or 3rd or 4th or 5th!
