Ticket Office

The Camden Cad
I know that this is entirely my own fault for not getting tickets earlier, but Christ it's slow going this morning. I've been on hold for just over an hour and still, "Your position in the queue is......8th."

Where is everyone?! Have they only got one person working today?! And who was it that kept someone on the line for 20mins leaving stranded in 18th?!

I'm so busy at work, but I can't do anything because I'm stuck on the poxy phone listening to that poxy 'ping' every 30 seconds. I can';t hang up, because then I'll never get tickets!!!!

Argggggghhhh!!!!!!

*goes on shotgun rampage*

I know, I know, it's all my fault for leaving it too late. In the summer, when we rebuild, can we forego one player and spend the transfer kitty on three more staff at the ticket office?

everytime i've been in there there's been 3 or 4 people working there. You have to remember though that they have to serve the people waiting in the ticket office as well as those people on the phones

I went in Friday to get the Swansea tickets and there were three women working flat out, the phones were ringing of the hook!!

I think at any given time they only have three people manning the desks and phones.

Best advice i can give is phone around 9.20 and you should be one of the first in the queue.

thats what i was going to do but forgot to phone until 9.45 and was then 24th. got stuck at 15th & 9th for ages but eventually got my swansea tickets after around 45 mins.

I'm ashamed to report that after 20mins of being in 7th (what the hell was 1st asking for?) I slammed the phone down and swore a lot. In retrospect, that was a silly move.

Silly because now I don't have a ticket and silly because when I started ranting in the office about 'being on hold for over an hour' several people started to question what on earth I did all day.

Damn.

My personal tip is try around 3pm as its the best time by far.

Early morning is a nightmare......

I'm getting one next year purely because I can't be dealing with this hassle all the time. I queued up for ten minutes earlier and didn't move up a single place so gave up. There was no chance I was going to get through in the hour I had for lunch.

Bloody gloryhunters.

When I got mine the chap in the ticket office was most helpful. I went there on a Thursday morning and he more or less let me walk around the ground, make a few choices and go back to him and see what was available.

For those who cant afford it heres a suggestion. Apply for an interest free credit card - theres a few about that do interest free for 9 months. Buy the season ticket in July. Pay the minimum every month and also put away what you would have spent on a ticket. Come april you will have the money saved to square up the credit card. You will also have earned a bit of interest and saved a bit on the ticket price - about 5% I think it is. Tickets are going to be harder to come by next year so it may be worth considering.

and the poor sod who got the job in your absence has been on hold 34 minutes and counting...

I've had problems with long waiting times whenever I've tried this year. I feel this boils down to the new on-line ticketing system being far far worse than last years when you could select your seats online, as opposed to putting down number of tickets and ending up god knows where. Hence, loads more fans now phone up, or queue up.

Oh, don't you worry, I'll be first in the queue for a season ticket come the summer. I'm not going through this again!

I'd rather pay over the odds and only make half the games than start throwing very public tantrums again.

Sorry, one thing I should stress is that everytime I've actually got through to the ticket office, they couldn't have been more helpful. I don't want anyone at the club to read this and think I'm slagging them off. As I said in the original post, I'm well aware that this is all my own fault!

How many more of you current non-season ticket holders will get season tickets for next season?

We have nearly 3,000 season ticket holders this season, it would be good to get that up to 4,000 for next season.
