Ticket Office after Accrington Game

Did anyone notice that the ticket office was closed after the game yesterday? We seemed to get 2 stories when we enquired to why. Firstly the steward inside said that there was a staff shortage. Secondly the lady at the club reception said that there was a hell of a lot staff called in sick. Then Brian Wheeler said these kids have probably gone to V Festival.

Do you believe any of this baloney and suspect they haven't been paid so are making a stance?

Lastly, do you think this is anyway to run a club, when you cannot even staff your only post match point of income?

aww could you not just phone up and book a ticket to collect? It's august, school holidays and V festival weekend, if they haven't quite got enough staff for one weekend then to be honest it's not the end of the world, better to have too few staff than too many.

All of which could have been foreseen as it happens every year. Surely the kids cannot all be allowed to take day's off on the same time. My business doesn't stop because someone is away and indeed not all staff are allowed to be off at the same time. We have to make alternative arrangements if we are away.

And like in most places, you cope with what you have, and everyone else running around like blue-arsed flies. It was one weekend, I know the bar staff were also running short staffed so it was probably fortunate that there wasn't a bigger crowd.
