We still got promoted that season, mind. I was at that match too. It was the game that Derek Bellotti (our goalkeeper - for the young ones) dislocated his shoulder. 'Spud' Taylor and I believe Dennis Booth both had a 'go' in goal (only one sub in those days and certainly not a keeper on the bench - again for the young ones). Bill Garner scored our goal and 17,059 were in attendance.

Draws in the remaining 3 games proved enough for us to be promoted to Div. 3, bizarrely the last two games of the season were both against Gillingham.
