I have got really got tired of the media taking the **** out of Roots Hall and the dressing rooms if they are good enough for our players they are good enough for anyone -

and Roots Hall is a great traditional English football ground - where the professional game has flourished for years - and where football is the
heart beat of an English way of life.... its not some museum piece its alive and kicking.

Glad I am not going to have to listen to the patronising bollox from a load
of smug ITV faces - glad that whatever happens we know Southend United
will carry on carrying on because it is the pride of Essex ....

I am sure if they have any spirit in them the Chelsea players will appreciate the honour they have in playing at Roots Hall and will appreciate the closeness of the support .... if they love the beautiful game they will know that this sort of FA Cup fixtuure is another sort of test ..... that playing at Roots hall should be as memorable as playing at the San Siro ....

and if they don't know this they are in trouble .....

Perfectly put! It's lazy journalism but it's still great to be involved. Just think how much this is all getting on the nerves of our friends in Colchester and east London. This would be a massive game for every one of the other clubs in the Premier and Football Leagues. Thankfully, it's here at Roots Hall!

I thought that until Cricko told me about the 1907 season when we were denied promotion, despite finishing clear at the top and scoring hundreds of goals. Our place in Southern League One was taken by that southern team Bradford Park Avenue.

I'd be wary about taking advice from a Leeds fan. Chelsea is their second team what with the Ken Bates, Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet links they've had in recent years.

TBH Tilson and the players are the ones going on about the dressing rooms etc so i dont see what the problem is. Their the ones telling the press and the press are the ones putting it onto paper.
