It works fine in Italy from what I can tell, I don't understand how it's being done so poorly here. Are the refs deliberately using it like idiots so that the FA get fed up and scrap it?

That was what I thought too, and why is it done so poorly compared to the egg chasers, with no or hidden speech?

Is it 'done well' in rugby (both codes) though? The time taken to reach decisions is becoming absurd as they analyse to the nth degree. It seems to go ok in tennis and cricket where things are much more definite and breaks in play come more regularly and naturally.

Football doesn't need fixing; it is our obsession with the 'mistakes' of the game officials that needs to be addressed.

No ,it's quite simple ,all the people involved are so ingrained with cheating they are afraid it will come to an end

Even if it gets scrapped for fouls I wouldn't mind if it stayed in place for offside calls. As long as they stop drawing the lines with Microsoft Paint it should help a lot since, aside from defining what interfering with play is, offside calls are the one thing that should never need to be up for interpretation.

Ha ha, I’ll avoid Tinks when I’m back for the Easter football games I think!
