People of Essex (and exiles) gather round....

Tomorrow we face a stern test a game to prove ourselves as title contenders not since the days of Wayne Gray at home to Bristol City has Southend graced the top position in any division since! but now we have a chance to continue our fight against Morcambe.

A packed crowd at the Hall but thats not enough without the passion and desire we need to translate from the stands onto the pitch - I urge you beautiful people one and all to withold any past grudges with players and get behind each and every one of them 11 good men strong and true - they have proved to us that they have what it takes they decided to join our club and tomorrow we must do our bit to drive them forward into battle as once more fortress Roots Hall will be under seige from another common foe.

So bring your flags bring your banners bring your voices as an army of fans we must strike fear into the enemys hearts and if we can win the mental battle from the stands our 11 knights of Essex will see off the invaders through skill control passing heart and passion.
