Regular players will be familiar with this little sideline, but for the forgetful (:harry:) and the newbies ...
As players you do nothing different, each week H will slap the fixtures up (maybe even the full compliment of 6 even !!!) and you predict as ever you would, i'll wander along over the weekend and mark them and you earn points as per usual, except every now and again your points will be matched against another player on a knockout basis .. eg if i'd have been paired against Brettie Angell yesterday i'd have lost 10-9 and thus be out the cup, if i'd have been against ldnfatso it'd be 9-5 to me and he'd be on his bike, a match up with Creaky would've finished 9-9 and we'd replay next game
The competition starts with 32 entrants for logistical purposes and in a slight change from the norm qualification will be based on performances on Tuesday when we play the Gills, taking yesterday as an example everyone from Chapperz at the top to the quartet scoring 4 each will be in so 27 so far, those scoring 3 .. - Emu - Roxy - SupaBlues - class - Teenage Shrimper - ShrimperNath - BLUEBLOOD Junior would be reassessed Tuesday and the top 5 would go into the main draw, the remaining players who scored less than 3 would be out at the qualification stage, harsh on them but about the fairest way of coming to a sensible number of starters i feel
I'll do some fixture planning and work out a timetable but in the meantime any thoughts/ideas/questions just post them up here and i'll see if i can help
