Hello all, and welcome back to the PL forum ready for the new season .. hopefully the changes i introduced halfway through last season proved popular with you, namely the cup and doing away with the polls but if there are any other changes you feel may benefit the competition then please feel free to put them here for open discussion, in fact use this as an empty wall on all aspects of the comp be they good bad or indifferent

I'll be putting the fixtures up for the opening Saturday next weekend so keep 'em peeled for those, also you will need to register an interest before 3pm on the 8th August (seperate thread will appear soon) if you want to enter the Christmas Cup, which is the pre-xmas knockout competition

Indeed you did, and to think you were on top of me for a spell back in March ;) ..and i'm sure TBS will manage to get himself online in time for this, he's quite a resourceful chap by all accounts

The longest arguement of my life was telling someone who lived in Shoebury that they lived in Shoebury, they wouldn't admit they didn't live in Thorpe Bay! :D

Its time for us to go into self imposed exile for a couple of weeks, its been decided not to go ahead with the proposed FA Cup fixtures next week as the whole basis of this competition is that if SUFC play (or are scheduled to play) then we predict, if they aren't we don't

I'd like to thank everyone for their participation in this, its a shame more don't join in, and i certainly think the owners should take more interest in this section but that is their prerogative of course

It can be a real labour sometimes, and you do tend to get a little bit "number blind" hence the occassional mistake, but overall its a great bit of fun that i'd like to think runs pretty smoothly most of the time, i'd like to place on record my thanks to canveyshrimper for helping out, i really don't think i could cope doing it on my own so nice one Harry :clap:

Here's hoping the second half of the season is a success both on the pitch naturally, but also in the SZ PL

Who's gonna take the title ?? One of the obvious choices ?? DtS, Shrimpersarmy, The Big Shrimp and Cricko have all been "up there" from the start but how will they handle the pressure when it gets to "squeaky bum time" .. perhaps someone like class, DoDtS or Brettie Angell will emerge from the pack and make a decisive break for the top, or perish the thought that one of the PHB will sneak through, i mean come on lads you know what women are like if they ever win anything, we'll never hear the bloody end of it !!!

And of course we have the Spring Trophy up for grabs, the competition that got Dave the Shrimper involved last season and so decided to play this year too, can he hold onto that crown or will he just settle for league success (or indeed do the double) .. and talking of doubles can manor15 add to his triumph in the Christmas Cup to make it a cup cleansweep

All will be revealed in 2010

As I hold the trophy I'm not giving up so :p
Looking at the maximum that he picked up yesterday I'd say Ldnfasto is on a roll, and probably most of the comestibles in Sainsbury's.

Thank you Lee & Harry for all your work, have really enjoyed being involved this year - all be it not that successfully - so far!
