You happy to run this one Dave? I was going to do it in a few weeks time.

But seeing as you've kicked it off:

British Sea Power - "Do You Like Rock Music"

Tricky one...

TVOTR is a good shout, but I don't think I like it as much as the last 2 records?

For me, I don't think any records have leaped out and grabbed my attention overly.

It'd be between:

**** Buttons - Street horssing
Portishead - Third
The Chap - Mega Breakfast
Boris - Smile
Neon neon - Stainless style
Hercules & Love affair - Self titled
Aidan Moffat - I can hear your heart
Cut Copy - In ghost colours

With I think the last winning it... Though I traditionally forget about the best contender until 5 minutes after voting ends.

I expect the new Kings Of Leon record will fare well here. And so it ought to; it's the first time I've thought: "These guys are pretty damn decent"

It is a tough one, I don't think there's really been one standout album for me this year. Would be between....

Pete and the Pirates - Little Death
Conor Oberst - Conor Oberst
TV On The Radio - Dear Science
The Baseball Project - Vol1: Frozen Ropes & Dying Quails
No Age - Nouns
Portishead - Third
Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip - Angles
Roots Manuva - Slime & Reason
Saul Williams - The Inevitable Rise & Liberation of Niggy...
Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy - Lie Down In The Light
Hercules and Love Affair - Hercules and Love Affair
Cat Power - Jukebox
Elbow - The Seldom Seen Kid
Neon Neon - Stainless Style

Burial - Untrue (ok, ok, I know it was released last year, but sod it)
Radiohead - In Rainbows
Goldfrapp - Seventh Tree
Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip - Angles
The Long Blondes - Couples

Mae Shi - Hllyh
F*ck Buttons - Street Horrssing
TV on the radio - Dear Science
Neon Neon - Stainless Style
Genghis Tron - Board up the house
Elbow - The seldom seen kid
Opeth - Watershed
Russian Circles - Station
Eastern Conference Champions - Americtown
Hot Chip - Made in the dark

Sigur Ros - Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust
The Envy Corps - Dwell
Death Cab For Cutie - Narrow Stairs
Travis - Ode To J Smith

In Rainbows actual release date was 31/12/07 (in terms of physical CD), you could obviously get it on official download for 3 months before that!
