The run in

OlvisIII

Coach
Apologies if this has been covered but here is the last 4 games of all the contenders:

Yeovil:
Kidderminster (a)
Wycombe (h)
Southend (a)
Lincoln (h)

Scunthorpe:
Cambridge (h)
Grimsby (a)
Bristol Rovers (h)
Shrewsbury (a)

Macclesfield:
Southend (h)
Mansfield (h)
Cheltenham (a)
Rushden (h)

Southend:
Macclesfield (a)
Oxford (a)
Yeovil (h)
Grimsby (a)

Swansea:
Oxford (h)
Bristol Rovers (a)
Shrewsbury (h)
Bury (a)

Suddenly the importance of our next four game increases.  10 points needed as an absolute minimum if automatics is going to be achieved.  Either that or we have to pull off two of the biggest wins of the last decade against Yeovil and Macclesfield.  Still in with a shout but my money is on Scunny or Macclesfield at this point.  How exciting is it that we are looking at the last few fixtures of the season as genuine automatic contenders!!

It's a shame this post doesn't show the next few Macclesfield games... They have Swansea on Friday (at the Vetch), Scunny Away and Lincoln Away... all before we face them in the rearranged fixture on the 19th.

We will overtake either Macclesfield or Scunny on Friday... mark my words!!!

Although this doesn't show it, Lincoln have a huge part to play in the rest of this season. They've got Yeovil, Macc and one of the other top teams (Scunny I think). The run in is only as important as the four games before it.

Interesting. Given our tough last 4 games I think we need to be a few points clear of the fourth placed team going into these games if we're to go up automatically.

Indeed Lincoln will have a massive say in what happens!!....

love it

Was I the only one who thought Mr K. Alexander's pitchside attire made him look suspiciously like Inspector Gadget in our recent encounter?

Indeed a terribly hard run of games for them..

But it could work in our favour, i fancy em to beat a couple of the top sides like Macc and Swansea..

Could be dark horses themselves if they beat the top sides...

These three games in particular I would fancy Licoln to get a result in. I doubt that they can get enough wins to get auto promotion themselves though

We do have some tough games, wiv Macc and Yeovil, but that just means that when we win it means more, stay positive. I think we will beat Yeovil, and Macc will be very tough, but there is no reason we cant get a draw or better, considering the games they have between now and then, also we have a rejouvinated squad, with fresh bodies, and injured players returning.

I don't wish to sound over-optimistic but we are actually going into the last few games as genuine TITLE contenders....

That Alexander is a right muppet
Yea I see where you are coming from but I don't want them to nose-dive to soon. If they can get a few results for us against the other title contenders (ooh I love saying that and thinking abouth Southend at the sme time) then we have a real chance!

but wouldn't it be nice if Lincoln do well and take enough points from rivals for us to go up automatically but they finish fourth and lose in the play off final.
