The Rain in Spain ...

... falls mainly in Jávea at the moment. This is a photo of the view from my front door just a few minutes ago. Note the river running down the road (taking much of the surface with it) and the fact that our normal view over the orange groves and down to the sea has disappeared into a mist of mist and rain. A mini 'gota-fría' has arrived!

PS - For anyone who knows her, Blue Missy arrived unannounced into my bar last night! Somewhat of a surprise! I just wish she didn't bring the rain with her!

Yeah, I remember you saying she was coming out here but I didn't know when. Popped out the back to have a bite to eat and returned to the bar to find her and Tim propping up the bar! Nice surprise. They stayed for food on our barbcue tables (quick plug) and then proceeded to have a few whilst watching the rugby and watching the rain batter our terrace; I think I might have made a mistake introducing them to Cacique Rum as they stumbled away from the bar about half-past midnight in what I (and they) think was the general direction of their apartment. We're meeting up with them on Sunday afternoon for a few beers; my day off so should be fun! Coming?

Next Sunday is going to be fantastic! Sky Sports have confirmed that they will be in attendance again; the lads tell me a local tv station down in the Vega Baja will also be coming down. Maybe they heard Harry Barris is out? Just need to get a win to stay amongst the early pace-setters!

The south-east coast of Spain is getting battered at the moment! Plenty of storm warnings on TV and radio yesterday (batten down hatch-type of warnings) 'cos when we get rain, by 'eck do we get rain!!

Funnily enough, after being told the weather was changing after last weekend (Monday and Tuesday were noticeably colder). The last couple of days have been glorious late summer September specials and today's shaping up the same way. Yay !!!!!!!!!!
