The"promised land":A Holy Grail Poll

In his latest blog the Chairman warned us imperiously in a Churchillian turn of phrase that he "would not be distracted by the detracters."
He also stated that he knew where he was taking us and that was to the "promised land." The quest for the Holy Grail would seem to be very much on(again).
So do we think RM will lead us to the "promised land" or not?
I feel a poll coming on.;)

Option 1.Yes.RM will lead us to the "promised land."The SZ countdown will be turned on again in 2010.
Option 2.No.We'll be staying at Roots Hall indefinitely.
Option 3.Don't know/Prefer to wait and see/can't make up my mind etc

Just to make it quite clear.The "promised land" here is FF.It's not poll-land or even Poland(humour not satire please note).:)

I really do want to believe, but i just can't see it happening any time soon. What with the money problems, both within the club, and nationwide, it just looks impossible to raise the funds to get it going. I guess all will be answered though, when St.Ron delivers another world class blog :)

I think he can do it, whether he will do it is another question. If he does deliver then will we have a team to support when we get there? If we do have a team will we be in league one or two, or God forbid even lower? I cannot see us getting promotion unless we have a full squad of players, by full squad i mean at least 18 good professional players, not the kids who clearly are not ready for the first team. UTB.

I think we will end up at FF, but only so RM can make his stack load of money, which is his main reason for doing it. I also think he will call it the Ron Martin Stadium or the SEL Stadium.

Now that he has avoided administration, he should now explore how viable the consortium really is. As it stands, I will avoid giving RM any of my money, so I won't be getting the away shirt for Xmas. The new England purple away rugby shirt is much better!

TBS-an excellent signature/tagline sir.Co-incidentally my Billy Bragg T-shirt with the aforementioned lyric arrived in the post last week after BB's concert here last month.
Not suprisinglly I tend to agree with a lot of the points you make in your post too.;)

My only BB T-shirt is too small for me now, I'm sure it shrunk in the wash!! :whistling: I will have to make do with my new Specials one instead!

Funnily enough I had the same problem with my Sun,Sea and Socialism, Billy Bragg T-shirt.
Hence the need for a new ahem extra-large replacement.Must be a design flaw, methinks.;)

If there is one thing the panic of the last few weeks confirmed to me it is that RM will almost definitely deliver FF. Too much cash and time have been spent for it to not happen

I don't doubt RM's DETERMINATION to deliver on FF.
I DO however question his ABILITY to do so in the current economic climate.:unsure:
"Almost definitely" is quite an interesting oxymoron BTW!:)
