The Good Men of Football

Davros

The Whippet
A lot of recent bad press has come about around modern day footballers due to some recent big headlines.

The general feeling out there is that most footballers have to much money, and very little respect or responsability to go with it.

So, the good members of the Zone, i invite you to nominate one or two players/mangers who are currently involved in the game who actually give football a positive name.

Im going to start with Neil Harris.

Jason Roberts. Does a hell of a lot of work for charity in England and his native Grenada and received an MBE this year in recognition.

Dirk Kuyt and his wife do a lot of charity work for disadvantaged children in the Netherlands and the Third World.

Fair enough. Does anyone know if he makes money out of this? Im presuming visiting the clinic is not free and is likely to be not cheap..... (Not saying he isnt in it for purely philanthropic reasons but just interested....)

It does cost a fair bundle to get in but I don't think Adams himself makes money out of it.

That said, it's quite easy to be charitable to a cause that has directly affected you and you've seen first hand the lack of support available. I'd say it's greater testamount to the characters of Kuyt and Roberts who do extensive charity work off their own backs instead of pursuing something because it has affected you.
