Mentioned this the other day when discussing MK Shrimper's Grinch-like tendencies, and having been unable to sleep and browsing the DVDs in Tescos at half 4 this morning, and seeing just how many Christmassy ones there are, I thought it'd be interesting to see which film tops the list here.

There's probably some I've forgotten and for which I apologise in advance - hard to think of every one ever made!

For me, I've always loved the original version of Miracle on 34th Street with Edmund Gwenn as Kris Kringle and Natalie Wood as the little girl. It always used to be shown on the tv just after we broke up for Christmas from school, and I'd always curl up on the settee to watch it.

what about [its a wonderful life] james stewart 1946 [just for us old gits

Last Christmas I watched that Lemony Snicket: Series of Unfortunate Events and, I have to say, whoever decided that this was a reasonable film to show at Christmas was on some Class A.

If you haven't seen it, the plot basically revolves around an Old, Decrepid Pervert who offs these children's parents in order to gain their inheritance and marry the little girl. Whether the costume designer meant to make the Old guy resemble Gary Glitter or if it was a brilliant coincedence remains to be seen.

Least. Christmas. Film. Ever.

Quite good as a film though, didn't you think? Jim Carrey in a multi role completely over the top performance, I'm not aware of it being a "Christmas" film though.

can we have another one on here to vote for..I vote for ITS ALL BOLLOCKS!
