great report. like leeboy i think that you were wrong about the ref. he was poor and the lino in the west stand (who i was level with for much of his mistakes) was terrible. basic throw-ins going the wrong way and some interesting offsides for us AND for them. the only good thing was that he was poor for both teams.

That watford player should have got sent off... i seem to remember freddy getting an extra match ban for when we appealed his red card when he did exactly the same as that lad last night.

I'm not sure I agree with you about the ref, Jon as I thought he was generally decent, albeit failing to send off the Watford player but the lino was absolutely appalling. I'm not sure he gave a single decision our way in the first half but somebody must have had a word in his ear at half time, after which he seemed to over-compensate and most of the 50/50 decisions went our way!

a great report - a real treat for a break at work -

can we still do our player ratings comments -

Flavs - twice i thought we'd blown it but twice he pulled off saves

Francis - looked keen as mustard with something to prove - not sure if he did enough tro displace Gilbert

Barrett - top senior pros performance -

Richards - this guy is looks raw and lacking in confidence - did a better once Barrett sorted him out, protected him 2nd half -

Hunt - looked capable and quick

Black - couldn't get in the game for an hour - looked poor defensively - has a lot of professional nouse for winning corners etc. Blew a couple of opportunities

Baily - competent and industrious

McCormack - commanding and powerful

Moussa - doesn't seem to have 90 mins in him yet - drifted off the pace a couple of times, lacked confidence once or twice, - his ability is clear but a lot to learn -

Harrold - well he works and fights and is a handful and lays it off - got a goal -

MacDonald - missed a few..... but got one - not that quick and not quite up to the pace of the game or the physical side of it but looked so pleased and proud with himself he can only get better -
